Focusing on premium membrane materials, their latest structures utilize PTFE and ETFE membranes. These membrane materials are lightweight yet exceptionally high-strength. This allows membrane structures to reduce the need for heavy steel structural supports while still offering high load-bearing capacities. They create large spaces that can withstand strong winds and heavy snow loads.

Membrane Structure for Warehouses

Among these, PTFE is a synthetic fluoropolymer that forms a PTFE membrane using glass fiber as its substrate. This durable membrane material is renowned for its exceptional thermal stability, remaining stable even at high temperatures.

PTFE membrane features a dense surface with self-cleaning properties. Rainwater can naturally wash away dust on the surface. Thanks to their long lifespan and excellent strength-to-weight ratio, PTFE membranes are widely used in tensioned structures, such as stadiums, airport terminals, and large canopies. They are ideal for projects requiring low-maintenance, long-lasting, semi-permanent, or permanent solutions.

ETFT Membrane Structure

Another widely used material ideal for their large structures is ETFE, which is also known as transparent plastic glass. It is extremely lightweight, weighing only around 1% of the weight of traditional glass. At the same time, it offers exceptional light transmission of around 95%, reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day. Consequently, ETFE membrane structures are particularly suited to projects requiring natural light, such as stadiums, greenhouses, botanical gardens, and exhibition halls.

Furthermore, ETFE exhibits excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation, weathering, and air pollution. Therefore, these membrane structures resist ageing even under extreme weather conditions without losing their structural integrity.
