September 2026. Islamic Divine System (IDS), a free online reference platform for Islamic learning, today announced a major expansion of its library, completing the publication of its full article catalogue in both English and Urdu and extending its Qur’an, hadith and Arabic language tools. The platform is available at no cost at https://islamicdivinesystem.com.
IDS was built to address a gap in how Muslims learn about their faith online. Most available material is either devotional content that readers cannot verify or academic work that sits behind journals and specialist language. IDS aims to publish material that a beginner can read and a specialist cannot fault on its references.
What the platform includes
- Qur’an Word Explorer: all 114 surahs, analysed word by word, with grammatical breakdowns and the classical commentary of Tafsir al-Razi. Any verse cited anywhere on the site opens at that exact verse.
- Hadith library: 17 major collections, including Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, searchable and graded. A recent audit of the Sahih al-Bukhari corpus recovered 332 narrations that had been dropped during import, bringing the collection to 7,584 entries, and repaired corrupted Arabic text.
- The Atlas: 15 long-form research dossiers on lands, causes, sacred history and civilisation, including Palestine, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Mysorean ruler Tipu Sultan. Dossiers covering current events carry dated update sections that are revised as facts change.
- Islam Basics: 22 plain-language, sourced articles for newcomers to Islam and for Muslims returning to their faith.
- Arabic Grammar Academy: a graded course taught in English and Urdu, with a morphology (sarf) laboratory that shows the full classical conjugation of every verb pattern.
- Sahil Adeem Studies: 22 structured summaries of the Pakistani speaker’s lectures and Qur’anic commentary, with the references he relies on.
- Masail and Fatawa: everyday questions of Islamic law, each traced to its evidence.
- Community forum: a public question-and-answer space where members can ask and discuss.
Every article in two languages
All of the platform’s articles, dossiers and study guides are now published in both English and Urdu. Urdu is read by well over a hundred million people across Pakistan, India and the global diaspora, yet careful, sourced Islamic reference material in Urdu remains scarce online. The Urdu editions are written to read naturally rather than as literal translations.
Published editorial standards
IDS publishes the rules its content follows:
- Every verse is a link. Qur’anic citations open at the exact verse, never left as a bare number.
- Hadith are graded. Weak narrations are identified as weak, and widely quoted sayings whose chains do not hold up are set aside in favour of stronger evidence.
- Culture is separated from religion. Practices such as dowry demands, forced marriage and the denial of women’s inheritance are identified as customs that Islamic rulings prohibit.
- Disagreement is acknowledged. Where schools of Islamic law differ, the positions are presented together.
- Original Arabic is shown. Transliterated terms appear alongside the Arabic script so readers can verify them.
The platform invites readers to submit corrections through its contact page.
