Last night, under the glow of the Manhattan skyline and the grandeur of Jazz at Lincoln Center, the legendary composer and performer Randy Edelman took the stage for a once-in-a-lifetime concert experience, presented by Let Me Help, Inc., the charitable organization founded by John “SohoJohnny” Pasquale.
This extraordinary event was a celebration of music, compassion, and storytelling, bringing together a captivated audience in support of Let Me Help, Inc.’s ongoing mission: to raise funds and awareness for various humanitarian causes, from disaster relief and cancer support to anti-bullying initiatives and mental health advocacy.
With the breathtaking backdrop of New York City visible through the venue’s iconic glass wall, Edelman made a powerful and unconventional entrance—performing the final piece from his setlist as his opening number, catching the audience off-guard in a moment of artistic brilliance that set the tone for the evening.
For two hours, Edelman held the room in the palm of his hand, delivering emotionally rich renditions of his greatest works, including A Weekend in New England, Uptown, Uptempo Woman, Sentimental Fools, Pretty Girls, The Woman on Your Arm, and a sweeping medley of his most beloved film scores. He also performed You by The Carpenters, accompanied by touching personal anecdotes about his work with the iconic duo.
