Diego Esquives, who acts, directs, produces, and writes, is getting more famous for his theater and indie film work in the US, Latin America, and Europe.

He got his training at the American Musical Dramatic Academy and Asociación Diez Talentos, where he learned a lot about classical and current acting. He’s been in plays like Macbeth and Hamlet, and he played The Creature in Frankenstein, which shows he can do different kinds of serious roles.

In 2023, he started directing and producing with the play The Last Christmas Tree, and he directed his first short film, The Immigrants. After he moved to Los Angeles, he was in Water by the Spoonful and directed the short film First Ride. His work was at the Brisk Festival in 2024.

His short film The Immigrants is getting noticed all over the world. It was first shown at the London Film Festival and then at the Americas Film Festival of New York, where it was up for Best Short Film. The film is still being shown in Los Angeles and is up for Best Short Film at the Wolf Media Festival in April 2026.

Besides directing, Esquives has been in a bunch of films in both big and small parts. He speaks two languages, and he’s trained in stage fighting and moving well, which makes him an even better actor.

As more people see his work, Diego Esquives is still helping out in theater and film with performances and projects that look at what it means to be human and different cultures.
