Quay McConic, avid gamer, and upcoming entrepreneur, has recently launched Fuyri Reaper Co., a clothing, and accessories line focused on gamers, and apparel for video game enthusiasts. 

Quote – Furyi has been my long-cherished gamer tag originally created during the era of Black ops 2 gaming. Gaming has been a safe haven during troubling times in life, times when I felt at my lowest and felt like there was nothing I could relate to or turn to. Gaming was the one device that I felt didn’t judge me and in fact encouraged me to be weird to think out of the box and ultimately find individuality a creative canvas for gaming. Gaming was meant to be fun not a job and the true gamers remember what old arcades felt like to walk up to a machine and place a quarter on the edge to call “next”.  Through all the years there has been a boom in animation and gaming in an electronic and hardware sense, but there just hasn’t been too many forward-facing era gaming clothes. With my brand I hope to return the warmth and cozy nostalgia of traditional gaming, today.

Quote – I chose the clothes in my store based off of the clothes I wear to game on a nightly basis. I want my brand to be recognized as a late-night casual street wear design that is free of motion and comfort. I wanted a line of clothes not built for runways or fashion shows because the real treasure is the late nights with friends and the nights made for the night owls. I also focused on things made to decorate the home or the gaming space to reflect the passion that is gaming. I plan for many more things given the opportunity and space to grow into the film industry, as well as, to make our way across into the tabletop industry. I would like to get a team under me because it will by no means be a one-man operation.

The video game industry is currently a billion dollar industry with many products to choose from, but not many clothing lines focused on the avid gamer.

Quote – I Hope that through the spread and growth of the clothing line we can return to the era of gaming creativity and a community that played games for the wonder and excitement of gaming and not just chasing the paycheck. I want to spread joy again whether it’s as simple as hosting public lobbies or supplying a memory in clothing. Gaming as well as life should be something you strive to explore and succeed in. Why not strive for that joy again.
