A Different Take on “Self-Made”
William offers a refreshing perspective on the often-romanticized concept of being “self-made.” Unlike others who emphasize rising from nothing, he is candid about the advantages he had and the sacrifices his family made to provide him with opportunities. Growing up in a working-class family, his mother worked long hours at a coupon company, and his father was a construction worker. Despite financial challenges, they ensured he attended private school.
“My mom used to work 18-hour days just to make ends meet, and my dad was always there, supporting our family with his construction work,” William says. “They weren’t rich—in fact, far from it—but they invested in me and my future, even when it meant sacrificing certain things.”
A brief stint in public school due to financial constraints shaped his perspective.
“That made me realize how contrasting life was for families with average incomes,” he recalls. “It gave me the motivation to build a better life—not just for my future but for my mom and dad.”
Early Passions and Life Lessons
William describes his younger self as “spoiled but unmotivated.” His passion for video games, especially first-person shooters, consumed his time, with dreams of pursuing esports. Though socially successful and skilled in sports like baseball, his academic performance was underwhelming.
“I did just enough to pass,” he says. “I wasn’t focused on grades or what I wanted to do in life; I was just coasting.”
Meeting Devyn Tremblay, his future business partner, in high school marked a turning point. Bonding over interests in underground hip-hop and fashion, the two began exploring creative pursuits like recording music and designing clothes.
“We didn’t have a clear direction, but we had ambition.”
The Turning Point: Discovering Entrepreneurship
William’s entrepreneurial journey began with a bold decision to leave a fashion design program after three months.
“I stood up in class one day and said, ‘This won’t pay the rent. I’m out.’”
Introduced to online business by a mentor through Devyn, William discovered the potential of “WiFi money,” monetizing social media services like growth and engagement packages.
“It completely opened our eyes to the potential of online business.”
This newfound passion led to the establishment of Kyrus Agency, a digital PR firm. Convincing his parents of this unconventional path wasn’t easy, but his determination prevailed.
“I wrote down my plan and showed them how I was going to make it work. My dad never doubted me, and my mom eventually came around. Their support was everything.”

Founded in 2021, Kyrus Agency entered the market to revolutionize traditional PR. While many firms relied on outdated practices, Kyrus Agency brought a modern approach with guaranteed media placements.
“PR is such a saturated field,” William says. “There are firms that have been in business for decades, but they’re stuck in the past. We wanted to bring a younger, more modern approach.”

“We don’t just pitch stories and hope for the best,” he says. “We deliver on our promises. That’s what sets us apart.”
Overcoming Challenges with Tenacity
Breaking into the PR industry wasn’t easy. Building credibility as a new agency in a field dominated by established players was a significant hurdle.
“It was hard to make our name as a new agency, especially in a field where clients are used to working with firms that have been around for 80 years,” he says. “But we knew we had something unique to offer.”
By delivering guaranteed results, Kyrus Agency carved out a niche, earning a reputation for reliability and innovation.
Lessons in Leadership and Success
William’s journey offers valuable lessons for aspiring entrepreneurs.
“You’ll fail more times than you succeed,” he says. “But those failures are what teach you and prepare you for success.”
He also warns against superficial aspirations:
“Everybody wants the lifestyle—the cars, the yachts, the villas. But are you ready to put in the hours, the sweat, and the tears? Entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay.”

Despite his success, William remains focused on the future.
“I’m nowhere near where I want to be,” he says. “I’ll never stop pushing harder, and I’m excited to see what’s next for me and the team at Kyrus Agency.”
